Out of nowhere.

That’s what most people think when students say they go to school at the University of Idaho.

“Iowa?” they ask.

“No, I-DA-HO,” you say.

But how do you tell someone from California or Georgia about the UI without having it sound like we’re all potato farmers who live in log cabins?

Well, we could tell them about our football team. You know, the one that beat BSU for the 9th year in a row.

And what about the Vandaleers choral group? They’re singing at Carnegie Hall this year.

Our engineering students ranked first in the nation on their Engineer-in-Training tests.

So what do you tell someone who wants to know about the UI?

Tell them everything. A lot of things happen here.

Nowhere but here.
