Vintage postcard of the ‘Natatorium’ in Boise, Idaho.

The Natatorium, a hot spring pool and event space, was built in 1901 in Boise off of East Warm Springs Avenue. The pool was 120 feet by 62 feet and was fed by hot springs in the Boise foothills. In addition to a regular hot spring soak, patrons could have a steam bath or massage, or dine at the cafe on the second floor.

The height of the Natatorium’s popularity was when the chosen location for Idaho’s first Inaugural Governor’s Ball for Governor Frank Hunt.
