Thrills and chills, the clatter and hammer, the staccato beat of a thousand feet, the voices of the crown blended as one, cheering the boys till the final gun. The scene does not change. The floor is still crowded, yet, unlike the previous description of ‘most any University basketball tussle, the sensuous aroma of pulse-quickening perfume permeates the atmosphere and Memorial Gymnasium has been converted from a sporting arena to a magnificent ballroom. But, despite its varied uses, this structure remains the home of the Idaho Vandals, a home where champions are born, where contests are won or lost for the reference of generations to come.
