Portrait of George Hutsell, 1918

Born in 1894, George E. Hutsell was a Moscow, Idaho native who later became an outstanding lightweight boxer in the 1920s. After serving in the First World War, Hutsell returned to Northern Idaho and became recognized as the Idaho and Inland Empire champion in his boxing division. Hutsell died in 1962 at the age of 68.
